Last year's Worlds of Work brought thousands of 9th grade students to the campuses of Lively Vocational College and Tallahassee State College.

Even as A-I puts the future of many jobs in doubt, other professions are in greater need of workers than ever. Those jobs will be on display Thursday and Friday, Oct. 22 and 23, on the campuses of Lively Technical College and Tallahassee State College.

Lively Assistant Director Rod Duckworth says 125 local employers from both the public and private sector will be showing what they do and what jobs they have available.

"Many of the employers who'll be represented here over the next two days are really looking to their future in regards to finding new employees and making sure that these students understand that these occupations are great occupations that you only need maybe one or two years of training to enter these professions and you can make a great salary," Duckworth says.

Duckworth says it's not only ninth grade students from Leon and surrounding counties who are welcome. The community at large is invited to check out the Worlds of Work showcase Thursday afternoon.
